Mexico always has a way of rewriting our internal scripts. It’s those foundational journeys that turn hospitality from a job into a lifelong calling!

I love it, Kay. That falling in love with a country thing, the weirdness and the wonder, the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Teotihuacan, Acapulco. You got the full Monty. I was at a travel conf in Acapulco around '84 and got sent to DF to do a last minute pitch to MNTC for an ad for the conf magazine. I hailed a taxi at the airport, had him wait for me at the monument. Hand to god. (he did). It was so different back then. Weird and wonderful--and the cliff divers. And that island? Our group went out there to a club and it was the first time I ever saw men w/ semi-automatics guarding the doors. Brave new world.
