I usually focus on AI tools and marketing tips for hospitality pros—but this update from Airbnb is too important not to flag. It directly affects how your property is used and who’s allowed in.

Would you know who your guest just invited in?

This week, Rent Scale Up flagged something big in Airbnb’s latest Summer Release:
Airbnb Services — a new feature that lets guests book private chefs, massages, yoga instructors, and more right inside your property.

Sounds convenient, right?

But here’s the kicker: your listing is automatically enrolled unless you manually opt out.

That means guests could be inviting third-party service providers into your space without you even knowing.

🔸 Airbnb collects a commission from these bookings.
🔸 You, as the host or property manager, only earn a cut if you proactively recommend a provider.

This raises important questions about liability, guest experience, and control.

It’s all broken down in this video—and it’s worth the watch.👇
