As a full-time solo-traveller myself, this piece really resonated. Beautiful work!

Oh thank you so much, yeah its one of those scenarios lots of people can relate to, coming into a new place, community, school.

I smiled at the tortilla story, but what really got me was the image of you standing there with the business suits from your old life. Sometimes a change of environment strips away so much of what we thought defined us. It's uncomfortable as hell when you're in it, but looking back, those are often the moments that change us the most. I often reflect on these changes during my travels.

This takes me vack to the times when I was traveling alone. It feels great until the point you sit at a table alone and feel like everyone is looking and talking about you. Of course it's all in your mind :) Thanks for sharing this story Kay! Next time I eat with my wife on holiday, I tell her how much I appreciate it

Solo travel is often the most transformative journey we can take. Embracing that space for self-discovery is pure magic!!

New country, new culture, new job, new life. But you learned how to roll a tortilla pretty fast, Kay ): And knew what to do with clothes from a different life, too.

Oh yes a fast learner. I wish Spanish was as easy as rolling a tortilla!
