My grandparents got married in a church. My parents got married in a church. I got married on a wooden platform over a cenote in the jungle on Halloween, 1993.
That’s a beautiful story. It inspires me to feel less worried about how difficult things might or might not be. I am about to move to Uruguay from Europe, and reading about how you just filled out the documents, guessing your way through, makes me feel like everything somehow just works out when you’re doing what you need to be doing. That’s great, really nice to read too. I think much more than a few photos is left from this experience — it’s still alive enough to inspire people 🫂

That had to be the coolest wedding I can imagine! Not to mention, it makes a great story! I know Dos Ojos and remember the area from the old days. You took me back... I'm imagining you guys as divers we used to see at the Carwash Cenote. I'm too chicken to dive, but I always admired those who do. Thanks for sharing this story!

I had a destination wedding in Krabi, Thailand. It was also magical and so cool to have so many of our loved ones come out to celebrate with us.

I did not know you were a cave diver!
It was my only time trying it! I went through my air so fast because I was so scared haha. I love open water diving though
And I am not crazy about open water. I like rocks. Me and marine life have had our issues. I have a story or two about that some day. 😫⛑️
I did a lot of exploration in that cave system.

Yes we dove Carwash! I am so glad you have been to Dos Ojos, its a great cave system.
